The event, conducted in the conference room of SEAMEO CECCEP's office, was attended by 37 participants, including academics and early childhood education practitioners. The FGD aimed to refine parental guidance modules designed to help children transition smoothly to primary school. These modules comprised learning and training materials developed based on input from various stakeholders.

This training, which took place from September 2 to 4, 2024, aimed to improve the overall quality of education in the region. The training was specifically designed to provide new insights and skills to ECCE teachers, so they can create more engaging, innovative, and meaningful learning experiences. Brunei Darussalam, June 10-14, 2024 - The Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Centre for Early Childhood Care Education and Parenting (SEAMEO CECCEP) conducted a training program titled "Our Happy Neighbourhoods" (OHN) in Brunei Darussalam. This event aimed to enhance the quality of teachers in supporting early childhood care education through a holistic and integrative approach. The training was attended by teachers and school principals from various regions in Brunei Darussalam. Professor Vina Adriany, The Director of SEAMEO CECCEP, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Government of Brunei Darussalam for the support and hospitality extended during the event. "Brunei Darussalam demonstrated its commitment to supporting quality early childhood education. We greatly appreciated the opportunity to learn and share experiences in this beautiful country," she stated.
Recently, from June 3rd to 5th, 2024, the BPMP of East Nusa Tenggara Province organized the “Gebyar Transisi PAUD ke SD yang menyenangkan” in NTT. The event was attended by various notable figures, including Madam Komalasari, M.Pd, Director of Early Childhood Education, MoECRT as well as PAUD lady Ambasador, the NTT Department of Education, and representatives from the Ministry of Education and Culture. Additionally, the Head of the NTT Provincial Government also graced the occasion.
Purwakarta, May 30-31, 2024 – SEAMEO CECCEP (Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Centre for Early Childhood Care Education and Parenting) collaborated with the Purwakarta Education Office to organize a training session titled 'Our Happy Neighbourhoods'. This two-day training was attended by 50 early childhood care education (ECCE) teachers representing each sub-district in Purwakarta. The event aimed to improve the quality of early childhood education through a deeper understanding of children's rights.

Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Center for Early Childhood Care Education and Parenting (SEAMEO CECCEP) held its routine weekly activity to improve the English language skills of the staff with Upgrade Skills in English Language, abbreviated as USIEL. This time USIEL was held on Monday, April 30, 2024 at the SEAMEO CECCEP Auditorium.
In an effort to enhance the English language proficiency of its staff members, the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Center for Early Childhood Care Education and Parenting (SEAMEO CECCEP) conducted dynamic training sessions called Upgrade Skills in English Language, abbreviated as USIEL. This activity was attended by all SEAMEO CECCEP staff with the primary aim of improving the English language abilities of the staff. The sessions took place once a week on Wednesdays.
In a concerted effort to bolster educational standards in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) province, the Education Quality Assurance Agency (BPMP) and the Education Quality Assurance Agency (BGP) have embarked on a collaborative endeavor to uplift teacher competency. The initiative, titled "Peningkatan Kompetensi Guru dalam Implementasi Kebijakan Merdeka Belajar melalui Pendekatan Kemitraan antara 7 SCI, BGP NTT, dan BPMP NTT" (Teacher Competency Improvement in Implementing the Independent Learning Policy) is being pursued through a strategic partnership involving 7 SEAMEO Centres in Indonesia, BGP NTT, and BPMP NTT.
Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Centre for Early Childhood Care, Education, and Parenting (SEAMEO CECCEP) and Yayasan Pandu Pertiwi collaborated to organise a comprehensive training program on implementing child rights-based learning. This activity took place on August 12, 2023, in Tangerang. This training is part of an effort to improve the quality of early childhood education by placing a strong emphasis on fulfilling children's rights.
On May 25, 2022, SEAMEO CECCEP organized a training session with the theme "Our Happy Neighbourhood (OHN)," which was conducted online. The module discussed children's rights, including protection, provision, and participation. One of the topics covered in this activity was happy children. This module explored children's rights from marginalized groups, the importance of children's participation rights, and the need to listen to children's voices. In her opening remarks, the Director expressed gratitude and welcomed the 30 participants who were early childhood education teachers from the Philippines. The Director of SEAMEO CECCEP explained that the training would focus on the Happy Children Module, which aims to promote children's rights worldwide. This occasion served as a bridge for collaboration between SEAMEO CECCEP and the Philippines in achieving our common goals in the future. Vina stated, "We hope this training can assist teachers, both in Indonesia and the Philippines, especially Early Childhood Education teachers."
SEAMEO CECCEP has developed the Parenting Program for Stunting Prevention (PPSP) Model. The development of this model is a form of implementation of SEAMEO CECCEP's commitment from the national program to accelerate stunting prevention with BAPPENAS. This model aims to support the government program to accelerate the reduction of stunting prevalence rates, which by 2024 are expected to reach 14%. The development of this program has produced three activity plans, namely 1) Information-strengthening programs, 2) Programs to strengthen parents' knowledge and skills, and 3) Programs to provide individual assistance services for parents.
SEAMEO CECCEP successfully conducted training for ECCE teachers in Tasikmalaya, West Java, Indonesia. This training was held from November 7 to December 16 in a blended manner. As many as 30 ECCE teachers participated in the "Our Happy Neighborhood" training. On December 16, 2022, training participants evaluated the OHN training at the Indonesian University of Education, Tasikmalaya Campus. This training evaluation aims to analyze and determine the level of effectiveness of the training program. The OHN module discusses the importance of knowledge of children's rights which is the basis for realizing early childhood education free from bullying, intolerance, and violence.
In an effort to realize the quality of early childhood education and parenting, International Women's University, SEAMEO CECCEP, and CIMB NIAGA are again conducting training for early childhood education teachers. Training Participants in this batch 3 consisted of early childhood education teachers from Central Java, East Java, and Yogyakarta. A total of 92 teachers were enthusiastic about training in the BBPMP, West Java. SEAMEO CECCEP, International women's University, and CIMB NIAGA are committed to realizing quality education, cooperation, and good work of all stakeholders required. Early childhood education will be of high quality if the human resources (HR) also have quality competencies.
