SEAMEO CECCEP conducted training for early childhood and primary school teachers in Ende.

 The Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Center for Early Childhood Care Education and Parenting (SEAMEO CECCEP) conducted the "Transition from Early Childhood Education to Elementary School and Fulfillment of Children's Rights" training program in Ende Regency. The event was officially opened by Maltdis Mensi Tiwe, SE, M.Si, Akt, Head of the Ende Education and Culture Office, and commenced with an activity titled "Ana Ende Senang." The training was attended by 40 teachers from early childhood education and elementary schools. It took place at the Catholic Elementary School Wololele Building in Wolowaru District, Ende Regency.

The event was also attended by Maria Magdalena Tea, S.Pd, SD, an elementary school supervisor, and Aurelius, the Principal of Catholic Elementary School Wololele. The training focused on the transition from early childhood education to elementary school and the fulfillment of children's rights in Ende Regency.

In her speech, Prof. Vina Adriany, Ph.D., emphasized that early childhood education is a critical foundation of education. She highlighted that early childhood education plays an important role in children's growth, promoting social mobility, reducing poverty, and ensuring equality and social justice in society.

"Therefore, we highly appreciate the Ende Regency Government for having a regent's regulation that ensures early childhood education is a mandatory service, aligning with the central government's program of 13 years of compulsory education," she added.

Prof. Vina also expressed gratitude for the full support from BPMP NTT and the Ende Regency Government, acknowledging their strong commitment to implementing early childhood education development in NTT, making it a pilot project for this initiative.

"In the training, we introduced one of our modules. With this module, we aimed to prepare happy children in Ende by fulfilling their rights to access quality early childhood education services. We also used this module in Brunei Darussalam for similar training activities," she explained.

The training event concluded with a group photo and a social gathering, marking an important step towards improving the quality of early childhood and elementary education in Ende Regency.
