Bandung, 31 August 2024 - SEAMEO CECCEP (Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Centre for Early Childhood Care Education and Parenting) held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to update the content of the 'Anaking' application on 29-31 August 2024. This activity aims to refresh and improve the quality of content available on the 'Anaking' app in order to provide better support for parents and caregivers in fulfilling early childhood development rights.
Since 2021, the 'Anaking' app has been a flagship initiative of SEAMEO CECCEP, providing a free and easily accessible internet-based platform for childcare. The app, which means 'My Beloved Child' in Sundanese, is designed to support parents, caregivers, practitioners and early childhood educators across Indonesia in providing the best for their children.
Available on Android and iOS, the 'Anaking' app offers a range of popular articles, stimulation guides, discussions on children's psychological conditions, and an integrated discussion forum. All these features are designed to provide practical knowledge and support to parents and caregivers in raising children aged 0-4 years.
During the three-day FGD, participants focused on developing and updating the app content, including articles relevant to early childhood development needs. By involving various experts, educational practitioners and child psychologists, SEAMEO CECCEP ensured that any information presented in the app is in line with the latest developments in childcare.
The FGD also served as a collaborative platform for participants to share experiences and knowledge and formulate strategies to improve the quality and reach of the 'Anaking' application. It is expected that this application will continue to grow and provide significant benefits to users throughout Indonesia, especially in supporting optimal child development.
“With regular content updates, we hope the 'Anaking' app can become a richer and more useful resource for parents and caregivers across Indonesia,” said a representative from SEAMEO CECCEP. “Our ultimate goal is to ensure that children receive the best possible care that supports their holistic development.”
The FGD is part of SEAMEO CECCEP's ongoing commitment to support quality early childhood education and care through various digital initiatives and innovations. Through the 'Anaking' app, SEAMEO CECCEP hopes to continue to contribute in preparing a healthy, smart and competitive young generation of Indonesia in the future.
