On April 3, 2024, Prof. Vina Adriany, Director
of the SEAMEO Regional Centre for Early Childhood Care Education and Parenting
(SEAMEO CECCEP), along with Rizal Nugraha, Head of Advocacy and Partnership,
made an important visit to the Ministry of Human Development and Culture or Kementerian
Koordinator Pembangunan Manusia dan Kebudayaan (Kemenko PMK).
This visit marked the initial step in
discussing potential cooperation in the field of early childhood care
education. Mr. Jazziray Hartoyo, Assistant Deputy for Early Childhood, Basic,
and Secondary Education, welcomed Prof. Vina's visit along with her team. The
meeting between SEAMEO CECCEP and Kemenko PMK covered various topics, but one
of the main points of discussion was cooperation in drafting policy briefs.
Kemenko PMK was currently focused on developing
module books and discussing matters related to the holistic integrative early
childhood development (HI-ECD). This collaboration was expected to make a
significant contribution to supporting the implementation of the HI-ECD program
in Indonesia. This visit marked the initial step in the joint efforts between
SEAMEO CECCEP and Kemenko PMK to enhance the quality of early childhood
education in Indonesia. With solid collaboration between the two parties, it
was hoped that sustainable positive changes would be achieved in the field of
early childhood education in Indonesia.
