JAKARTA, April 9, 2026 – The Government of Indonesia, through the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) in collaboration with SEAMEO CECCEP, officially launched the ASEAN-SEAMEO Joint Roadmap on Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) in Southeast Asia. The event, which took place at The Sultan Hotel and Residence, Jakarta, on Thursday (4/9/2026), marked a new milestone in strengthening the quality of early childhood education in the region.
Bandung, 9–11 March 2026 – The Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Centre for Early Childhood Care, Education and Parenting (SEAMEO CECCEP) conducted an Anti-Bias Education Research Preparation Workshop as part of its efforts to strengthen research quality and support the development of more inclusive and equitable early childhood education practices.
Bandung, 12-14 March 2026 – Efforts to strengthen children’s literacy and numeracy skills from an early age have once again drawn attention from various stakeholders. This issue was highlighted during the Preliminary Discussion on Climate Change Studies and Workshop on Developing Research Proposals on Literacy and Numeracy for Early Childhood Education 2026, organized by the SEAMEO Regional Centre for Early Childhood Care, Education and Parenting (SEAMEO CECCEP) at Harris Hotel & Convention Festival Citylink, Bandung.
Bandung, 2–4 March 2026 – SEAMEO CECCEP organized a Workshop on the Development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Deep Learning Training Materials, and the Enhancement of the Our Happy Neighborhood (OHN) Module at HARRIS Hotel & Conventions Festival Citylink. The activity was part of SEAMEO CECCEP’s mandate in research and capacity building to strengthen early childhood education (ECE) and family education at both national and Southeast Asian regional levels.
Jakarta, 2–3 March 2026 – The Director of SEAMEO CECCEP, Prof. Vina Adryany, Ph.D., together with the Deputy Director and Deputy for Administration, Suhendri, Ph.D., participated in the Learning for the Future: ASEAN-UK SAGE Evidence and Insights Forum held in Jakarta. The regional forum was part of the ASEAN-UK SAGE programme, which focused on strengthening foundational learning, gender equality, and inclusive education across Southeast Asia.
Jakarta, 25 February 2026 – The SEAMEO Centre for Early Childhood Care Education and Parenting (SEAMEO CECCEP) conducted an initial discussion for the preparation of a STEM-based numeracy literacy study in collaboration with the Directorate of Early Childhood Education, Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, on Wednesday (25/2). The activity was part of a series of preliminary coordination meetings for the development of studies on STEM-based numeracy literacy and climate change conducted from 25–28 February 2026.
Bandung, 24 February 2026 — The Seven SEAMEO Centres in Indonesia (SCI) conducted a Follow-up Discussion on the Preparation of the SEAMEO Centres Policy Research Network (CPRN) Summit 2026 at the SEAMEO CECCEP Office in Lembang, West Bandung Regency. The meeting was part of ongoing coordination efforts among SEAMEO Centres in Indonesia to prepare for the SEAMEO CPRN Summit 2026, which is scheduled to take place on 9–11 June 2026 in Jakarta.
Bandung, 7 February 2026 — The Deputy Director for Administration, Suhendri, Ph.D., and the Head of the Knowledge Management Division, Irfan Ansori, M.Pd., served as speakers at the 7th BKTKI–DMI National Webinar, organised in collaboration with the SEAMEO Centre for Early Childhood Care Education and Parenting (SEAMEO CECCEP). The webinar adopted the theme “Safe, Educative, and Sustainable Early Childhood Education (PAUD)” to strengthen stakeholders’ understanding of the importance of policies, learning practices, and arrangements for the learning environment that support quality, child-friendly, and sustainability-oriented PAUD services.
Bangkok, Thailand — The Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) continued strengthening its Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) system as part of its commitment to enhancing results-based governance at the regional level. This commitment was reflected in the organization of The 5th SEAMEO MEL Strategy Workshop, held on 9–10 February 2026 at Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort, Bangkok, Thailand.
SEAMEO Centre for Early Childhood Care Education and Parenting (SEAMEO CECCEP) participated in the 2026 National Consolidation of Primary and Secondary Education, which carried the theme “Strengthening Collective Participation to Achieve Quality Education for All.” The event was held on 9–11 February 2026 at PPSDM Kemendikdasmen and was attended by education stakeholders from various regions across Indonesia.
