Majalengka, April 7, 2026 — the Regional Government of Majalengka Regency and SEAMEO CECCEP held a Coordination Meeting and Discussion on a Joint Agreement for Early Childhood Education (PAUD) and Family Education Programs in Majalengka Regency for 2026.
During the meeting, SEAMEO CECCEP presented its institutional profile as a regional center under the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education of the Republic of Indonesia, focusing on the development of early childhood and family education through research and development, capacity building, advocacy, and partnerships.
This was followed by a discussion of the draft Memorandum of Understanding, which was adjusted to comply with the provisions of the Minister of Home Affairs Regulation Number 22 of 2020 on Regional Cooperation. As a result, the participants agreed to collaborate on educator and education personnel training, joint research, advocacy for early childhood and family education programs, and dissemination of information to the public.
The Memorandum of Understanding is planned to be valid for three (3) years, with program implementation outlined in annual work plans. Monitoring and evaluation will be conducted annually, while funding for activities will be provided through a cost-sharing mechanism agreed upon by both parties. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding is scheduled for April 14, 2026.
