SEAMEO CECCEP Enhances Internal Capacity through Training on Quantitative, Qualitative Research, and RASCH Modeling

Bandung, February 13, 2025 – SEAMEO CECCEP held an internal capacity building training focused on quantitative, qualitative research, and RASCH modeling. The activity was held on February 13 and presented Dr. Bambang Sumintono from the Fhis training, Mr. Bambang Suminto delivered material on:

Quantitative Research: Methods of collecting and analyzing numerical data, and its application in early childhood education research.

Qualitative Research: Methods of collecting and analyzing non-numerical data, such as interviews, observations, and case studies, and how this data can provide in-depth understanding of early childhood education phenomena.

RASCH Modeling: The use of the RASCH model in measuring and analyzing data, especially in the context of early childhood learning assessment and evaluation.

This activity is part of SEAMEO CECCEP's ongoing efforts to improve the quality of research and development of early childhood education programs in the Southeast Asian region. With increased internal capacity in the field of research, SEAMEO CECCEP is expected to make a more significant contribution in supporting the development of young children.aculty of Education, Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) as a speaker.

The training was attended by SEAMEO CECCEP staff and external teams. The main objective of this training is to improve the understanding and ability of staff in conducting quality research that is relevant to the field of early childhood education.
