SEAMEO CECCEP organized a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) attended by SEAMEO CECCEP staff and internship students, focusing on International Journal Indexing and scientific journal management using the Open Journal System (OJS). The event aimed to provide insights and a deeper understanding of the processes involved in scientific journal publication, indexing, and the importance of journal management systems in enhancing publication quality. The FGD was designed to help participants comprehend how to improve journal credibility and manage scientific publications more efficiently.
On November 27, 2024, Assila Prianggi, Capacity Building Officer of SEAMEO CECCEP, participated in the Regional Mapping of Gender-Related Policies and Programmes event. The meeting focused on gender-based violence and the situational analysis of gender and skills development across Southeast Asia. The event was opened by Jhon Arnold Siena, DDP SEAMES, who emphasized that the initiative aimed to broaden access to quality education for both boys and girls, in line with the SDGs, Putra Jaya, and SEAMEO\'s 7 Priorities. He highlight the importance of ensuring that girls had equal access to quality learning opportunities, as gender-based violence could severely hinder their educational progress
Bangkok, 26 November 2024 – SEAMEO CECCEP continued to enhance its role in improving education across Southeast Asia. Professor Vina Adriany, Ph.D., Director of SEAMEO CECCEP, and Iwan Aries S., Head of the Knowledge Management Division, participated in the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Capacity Program organized by the SEAMEO Secretariat in Bangkok. The program was designed to build the capacity of SEAMEO members to improve the effectiveness of their educational programs and initiatives. The program focused on key areas such as strategic alignment of SEAMEO activities, operational excellence, stakeholder engagement, resource mobilization, and data-driven decision-making. By addressing these areas, the initiative aimed to improve the overall quality and impact of SEAMEO\'s programs across its member countries.

The event organized by the SEAMEO Secretariat. The SEAMEO HOM serves as a preparatory forum for the annual SEAMEO Council Conference. The event officially opened by Datuk Habibah Abdul Rahim, Director of the SEAMEO Secretariat, the meeting brought together high-ranking officials and representatives from the Ministries of Education of SEAMEO Member States, alongside Directors and senior staff from the SEAMEO Secretariat and its Regional Centres and Networks. This pivotal event shapes SEAMEO’s policies and strategic directions.

Padang, November 23, 2024 – The Faculty of Education (FIP) at Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) hosted the KRIDA 2024 event. This event attended by 1,000 students from various disciplines. The event featured Ith Vuthy M.A, Deputy Director for Program at SEAMEO CECCEP, as the keynote speaker. He delivered a presentation on 21st Century Skills and the importance of a growth mindset for the younger generation. In his opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Afdal, M.Pd., KONs, Dean of FIP UNP, expressed his appreciation for Ith Vuthy\'s participation. \"We hope students will take this opportunity to gain valuable insights for their personal and career development in the future,\" he said.
SEAMEO CECCEP successfully held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to finalize enjoyable transition modules from early childhood education (ECCE) to primary school through parenting programs. The event, conducted in the conference room of SEAMEO CECCEP\'s office, was attended by 37 participants, including academics and early childhood education practitioners. The FGD aimed to refine parental guidance modules designed to help children transition smoothly to primary school. These modules comprised learning and training materials developed based on input from various stakeholders.
SEAMEO CECCEP continues to expand its partnerships to enhance the quality of early childhood education and parenting. As part of this effort, SEAMEO CECCEP has established strategic collaborations with Universitas Muhammadiyah Sukabumi, STIT Qurrata Ayun, and Universitas Bina Bangsa (UNIBA), Serang. The signing of the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) took place on November 18, 2024, as a concrete step to support the development of educational and training modules for early childhood education (PAUD) teachers.
Bandung, November 14–15, 2024 – SEAMEO CECCEP held a FGD to develop draft the SEAMEO-ASEAN Joint Roadmap on ECCE. This roadmap is an extension of the ASEAN Declaration on Early Childhood Care and Education in Southeast Asia. The FGD aimed to develop a roadmap that would provide guidelines for Southeast Asian countries to expand access to and improve the quality of early childhood education (ECE) across the ASEAN region.
