On Monday, May 6 2024, SEAMEO
CECCEP received a visit from the University of Malaya to discuss potential collaboration.
The lecturers from the University of Malaya, namely Prof. Madya Dr. Fonny
Dameaty Hutagalung, Dr. Amira Najiha Yahya, and Dr. Nursyuhaidah Mohd Kadir,
were warmly welcomed by the director of SEAMEO CECCEP, Prof. Vina Adriany. This
meeting was held at the SEAMEO CECCEP office and was attended by all existing
staff and interns staff.
The discussion event was opened
by the MC, Mrs. Fatimah, staff from the Research and Development division. Then

programs of SEAMEO CECCEP by Prof. Vina. She also explained the three programs
that SEAMEO CECCEP's research and development division is currently working on,
which are stunting prevention, ethnoparenting, means documenting the best local
practices for raising children, and the Anaking application, for tracking child
development.
Dr. Amira expressed her response
regarding the Anaking application. She appreciated how Indonesians still liked
to use their native or regional languages. Prof. Vina then explained that
anaking comes from Sundanese which means my dear child. Apart from that, Dr.
Amira also expressed her good intentions to contribute to Anaking by providing
short articles or becoming a reviewer.
In the question and answer
session, Dr. Syuhaidah and Prof. Vina also talked about collaboration funding.
Then Prof. Vina highlighted about one of the SEAMEO CECCEP programs, the
writing fellowship. Where the five selected people whose manuscripts can qualify
for the Scopus index will be given awards in the form of funding. Dr. Fonny
also expressed her appreciation to SEAMEO CECCEP for being very active in
creating programs and contributing to the education of teachers and parents
regarding children. The University of Malaya is also very open to further
collaboration with SEAMEO CECCEP.
This visit event then closed with
the playing of the SEAMEO song. Then Prof. Vina gave a plaque to University of
Malaya as a form of appreciation and last a documentation session. It is hoped
