SEAMEO CECCEP launched the Writing Fellowship Program as part of its continuous effort to strengthen knowledge creation and evidence-based research in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) and parenting. The program is designed to foster multidisciplinary collaboration and academic publication in key focus areas, namely children and family well-being, access and participation, anti-bias education, and Holistic Integrated ECCE.
Through this initiative, SEAMEO CECCEP provided opportunities for postgraduate students, researchers, practitioners, and academicians to engage in scholarly writing and research that address pressing ECCE issues. Five awardees were selected to receive writing grants, each amounting to IDR 10 million, with research progress closely monitored through two phases of evaluation.
The fellowship not only strengthened SEAMEO CECCEP’s role as a regional think tank but also contributed to the production of high-quality academic outputs targeted for publication in reputable, peer-reviewed journals. Ultimately, this program highlighted SEAMEO CECCEP’s commitment to advancing ECCE discourse, building research networks, and supporting data-driven policy development for the well-being of children and families across Southeast Asia
