SEAMEO Centre for Early Childhood Care Education and Parenting (SEAMEO CECCEP) participated in the 2026 National Consolidation of Primary and Secondary Education, which carried the theme “Strengthening Collective Participation to Achieve Quality Education for All.” The event was held on 9–11 February 2026 at PPSDM Kemendikdasmen and was attended by education stakeholders from various regions across Indonesia.

The Deputy Director for Administration, Suhendri, Ph.D., the Head of Knowledge Management, Irfan Ansori, M.Pd., and Mustofa Kamilludin, S.Ds represented SEAMEO CECCEP. In addition to attending the consolidation sessions, SEAMEO CECCEP also participated by hosting a booth to disseminate institutional information. Through this booth, SEAMEO CECCEP introduced its programs, publications, and strategic initiatives in early childhood care, education, and parenting to participants, while also fostering interaction, networking, and collaboration.

During the national consolidation sessions, several strategic issues were highlighted. One key topic was the correlation between education and child well-being, including the relationship between PISA achievement and stunting prevalence, as well as the impact of the MBG program on students’ motivation, attendance, and learning enthusiasm. The MBG program was also recognized for contributing to improved nutrition awareness, increased learning engagement, and higher-quality instruction in beneficiary schools.

Another issue discussed was the resolution of honorary teacher employment through appointment under the PPPK civil service scheme, increased monthly incentives, and the distribution of professional and special allowances for teachers in 3T (frontier, outermost, and disadvantaged) regions. In addition, plans were presented for teacher deployment in Sekolah Rakyat, targeting the operation of 166 pilot schools in 2025 across 34 provinces and 131 districts/cities.

The consolidation also emphasized strengthening national priority education programs, including expanding the Indonesia Smart Program (Program Indonesia Pintar), strengthening human resource development, and improving education indicators over the past decade, such as school participation rates, the number of educators, and access to education services.

SEAMEO CECCEP’s presence at this national forum reaffirms the institution’s commitment to strengthening synergy and collaboration, and to contributing toward achieving inclusive, equitable, and quality education for all.
