Reviewing the Implementation of PP TUNAS Komdigi: Three Days After the Deletion of Children’s Accounts on Several Digital Platforms

Bandung, March 31, 2026 — A discussion titled “Reviewing the Implementation of PP TUNAS Komdigi: Three Days After the Deletion of Children’s Accounts on Several Digital Platforms” was held as an initial evaluation forum on the implementation of child protection policies in the digital space following the enactment of Government Regulation Number 17 of 2025 on the Governance of Electronic System Implementation for Child Protection (PP TUNAS). The discussion examined developments in the regulation’s implementation following several digital platforms\' deactivation of accounts belonging to underage users who do not meet the minimum age requirements. It was conveyed that the implementation of PP TUNAS is a strategic step by the government, through the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, to create a safe, healthy, and child-friendly digital environment. This is achieved by restricting account access based on age, strengthening age-verification systems, and increasing digital platforms\' responsibility for protecting children. Within three days of implementation, several platforms began adjusting their policies, gradually deactivating children’s accounts to comply with government regulations.
