Vietnam, 24 August 2026 – The Director of SEAMEO Regional Centre for Early Childhood Care Education and Parenting (SEAMEO CECCEP), Prof. Vina Adriany, M.Ed., Ph.D., was invited as a speaker at an international symposium on Global South Studies, which was held from 21–24 August 2026 in Vietnam. During the symposium, Prof. Vina Adriany presented her research on young children’s understanding of historical events. Her presentation highlighted the ways young children developed meanings and interpretations of historical narratives, as well as the importance of providing meaningful and age-appropriate approaches in early childhood education to support children’s engagement with history and social contexts.
Jakarta, 11 August 2026 – The SEAMEO Regional Centre for Early Childhood Care Education and Parenting (SEAMEO CECCEP), in collaboration with Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) and Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. Hamka (UHAMKA), strengthened research collaboration to map early childhood teachers’ competencies in numeracy instruction through the Coaching Pilot Study of Instrument Development for Mapping Kindergarten Teachers\' Mathematics Knowledge for Teaching.

Chonburi, Thailand, 15 July 2026 – Following the conclusion of the SEAMEO Centre Directors Meeting (CDM) 2026, held on 14–15 July 2026 in Chonburi, Thailand, the SEAMEO Regional Centre for Early Childhood Care Education and Parenting (SEAMEO CECCEP) signed Cooperation Agreements (CAs) with SEAMEO INNOTECH and SEAMEO STEM-ED to strengthen regional collaboration in advancing research, innovation, and capacity building in Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE).

Jakarta, 29 June 2026 – The Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Centre for Early Childhood Care, Education and Parenting (SEAMEO CECCEP) participated in the Co-Creation Workshop on the Early Childhood School Leadership Program, organized by Global School Leaders (GSL) in collaboration with Tanoto Foundation and supported by Ishk Tolaram Foundation, Nomura Foundation, and Quantedge Advancement Initiative. The workshop took place at the Impact Gallery, Tanoto Foundation, Jakarta, and brought together key stakeholders to collaboratively develop a school leadership program aligned with national and local priorities for early childhood education.
