Bangkok, 27 November 2024 – Professor Vina Adriany, Ph.D., Director of SEAMEO CECCEP, along with Dr. Elis Rosdiawati, M.Pd., Deputy Director for Administration, represented the organization at the 47th SEAMEO High Officials Meeting (HOM) held in Bangkok, Thailand.
The event organized by the SEAMEO Secretariat. The SEAMEO HOM serves as a preparatory forum for the annual SEAMEO Council Conference. The event officially opened by Datuk Habibah Abdul Rahim, Director of the SEAMEO Secretariat, the meeting brought together high-ranking officials and representatives from the Ministries of Education of SEAMEO Member States, alongside Directors and senior staff from the SEAMEO Secretariat and its Regional Centres and Networks. This pivotal event shapes SEAMEO’s policies and strategic directions.
The meeting’s agenda covered key areas such as program proposals, financial planning, legal frameworks, and administrative matters critical to SEAMEO’s operations. The recommendations from this meeting will be further deliberated at the upcoming SEAMEO Council Conference.
Professor Vina Adriany, Ph.D., presented the draft of the SEAMEO-ASEAN Joint Roadmap on Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) in Southeast Asia. This initiative underscores SEAMEO CECCEP’s commitment to advancing ECCE across the region, fostering collaboration among ASEAN nations to enhance the well-being and holistic development of young children.
