The SEAMEO Regional Center for Early Childhood Care, Education, and Parenting (SEAMEO CECCEP), in collaboration with the Adhyaksa Garini Foundation (Yasarini), organized an online training program (Batch I) titled “Concepts and Implementation of Deep Learning in Early Childhood Education” from April 15–17, 2026. The activity was conducted virtually and attended by educators and early childhood education practitioners from various regions, as part of efforts to enhance human resource capacity in early childhood education (PAUD).
The training aimed to deepen participants’ understanding of deep learning and enhance their ability to apply it in early childhood education. The program encouraged participants to see the value of a growth mindset as the basis for meaningful, process-focused learning that supports children’s holistic development.
Over the three days, participants received materials from experienced speakers covering the fundamental concepts of deep learning, implementation strategies in early childhood education, and innovative practices applicable in their respective educational environments. In addition to presentations, the program featured interactive discussions, reflection sessions, and the sharing of best practices to encourage participants to develop more contextually grounded, reflective, and child-centered learning approaches.
Through this activity, participants are expected to integrate deep learning techniques into their daily teaching. Key outcomes include improved instructional methods, increased learner engagement, and the establishment of innovative and adaptive learning environments for young children in Indonesia. Additionally, participants will be empowered to drive positive changes within their educational settings.
