SEAMEO CECCEP collaborated with Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) Tasikmalaya Campus West Java Indonesia


To strengthen collaboration in early childhood education and parenting, SEAMEO CECCEP and the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Tasikmalaya campus, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the SEAMEO CECCEP Conference Room (1/11/2022). 

The Cooperation Agreement was signed by Prof. Vina Adriany (Director of SEAMEO CECCEP) and Prof. Dr Nandang Rusmana, M.Pd. (Director of UPI Tasikmalaya). Also present was Dr Elan, M.Pd. (Head of Early Childhood Education UPI Tasikmalaya Study Program), Dr Risbon Sianturi, M.Pd., Qonita, M.Pd., and Budi Rachman, M.Pd.

Nandang Rusmana expressed his gratitude SEAMEO CECCEP is pleased to cooperate in several teacher capacity-building programs and improve the quality of education services for early childhood. 

"I appreciate this collaboration. This collaboration is part of the Tri Dharma. Community service activities can improve the competence of Early Childhood Education (ECE) teachers while providing an experience for students," Said Nandang.

In addition, Prof. Vina said that SEAMEO CECCEP is compiling several modules, including the Our Happy Neighborhood (OHN) module and the Parenting module for Stunting Prevention and Handling. Through this module, it is hoped that it can help answer the problems of early childhood education to improve the quality of early childhood education. 

There are several points of cooperation agreed upon by the two parties in the collaboration, including implementing training to increase the capacity of early childhood education teachers and cooperation in research and development. Signing this collaboration becomes the starting point to improve the quality of ECCE.
