Bandung, September 6, 2024 –
SEAMEO CECCEP (Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional
Centre for Early Childhood Care Education and Parenting) held the opening
ceremony of the Certified Internship and Independent Study Program (MSIB), with
38 students from various universities across Indonesia participating. The event
marked the start of a program aimed at enhancing students' competencies and
potential through hands-on experience in a professional setting.
In her speech, SEAMEO CECCEP
Director, Professor Vina Adriany, emphasized three key points regarding the
importance of the MSIB program. First, SEAMEO CECCEP had become an official
partner of MSIB, which was both an honor and a challenge in supporting the
development of young talent in Indonesia.
Second, the MSIB recruitment
process was highly competitive. Out of around 2,000 applicants, only 36
individuals successfully passed the selection process and were accepted into
SEAMEO CECCEP. This highlighted the competitive nature of the program, which
selected only the best students to participate.
Third, Professor Vina stressed
that MSIB was not just an ordinary internship program. Students were expected
to bring out their full abilities and skills during the program. Furthermore,
this initiative was expected to create real impact, both in terms of
contributing to SEAMEO CECCEP and in improving the capacity and personal
potential of the students throughout the program.
"By participating in MSIB at
SEAMEO CECCEP, we hoped that the interns would not only gain valuable
experience but also actively contribute to the development of our programs.
This was a golden opportunity for students to hone their skills and grow personally,"
said Professor Vina.
The MSIB program would run for
several months, during which students would be involved in various projects
related to early childhood education and parenting at the regional level. With
full support from SEAMEO CECCEP, participants were expected to take home
valuable skills and experiences that would strengthen their competencies in the
professional world.
