Bangkok, July 18, 2024 – The Director of SEAMEO CECCEP, Prof. Vina Adriany, Ph.D., attended the annual SEAMEO Centre Directors Meeting (CDM) held on July 17-18, 2024, in Bangkok, Thailand. The meeting was attended by Directors and officials from 26 SEAMEO Regional Centres/Networks.
The SEAMEO CDM 2024 served as an important platform for Centre Directors and SEAMEO officials to collaborate and exchange ideas on regional development programs and inter-centre collaboration plans. These initiatives aimed to enhance education, science, and culture throughout Southeast Asia.
“We were honored to participate in this event, which provided a valuable platform for discussing and designing development programs focused on regional progress,” said Prof. Vina Adriany, Ph.D. The meeting also offered opportunities to forge new partnerships and strengthen existing collaborations, thereby expanding the impact of these development programs.
In addition to being a place for idea exchange, the meeting was also expected to produce concrete action plans to be implemented by each SEAMEO centre. Thus, the initiated programs were anticipated to make tangible contributions to improving the quality of education and culture in the Southeast Asian region.
“We extend our deepest gratitude to the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Secretariat (SEAMES), all SEAMEO Centres, and Chevron for their support in this collaboration,” added Prof. Vina Adriany, Ph.D.
This annual meeting not only functioned as a means of inter-centre collaboration but also served as a momentum to identify new challenges and opportunities in the fields of education, science, and culture. With a strong spirit of collaboration, SEAMEO and its members remain committed to advancing the quality of education in Southeast Asia.
