SEAMEO CECCEP Held Focus Group Discussion to Update Anaking Application

The Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization - Regional Centre for Early Childhood Care Education and Parenting (SEAMEO CECCEP) successfully held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) titled "Update of Anaking Application and Content Development" from May 6th to 8th, 2024. This activity is part of a series of studies and developments aimed at improving the quality of services for children and parents.

In this FGD, all SEAMEO CECCEP staff actively participated. The three-day discussion covered various aspects related to the update of the Anaking application, which is a crucial innovation in supporting the development of young children.

The Research and Development team of SEAMEO CECCEP led discussions on proposed new features for the development of the Anaking application. One of the main features focused on adding pages about child growth, development, and stimulation, as well as developing the "Parent's Corner" as a platform for parents to share experiences and knowledge in educating children.

Additionally, technical aspects such as image file uploads, data migration, and the need for administrative and IT personnel were also serious considerations in the discussion.

The discussion was not only focused on technical aspects but also discussed the role of ethnoparenting in the context of child rearing. In the "Parent's Corner" theme, information about ethnoparenting will be added as a form of appreciation for cultural and gender diversity in educating children.

"We hope that with the improvement of the Anaking application, it can provide greater benefits for parents in supporting the development of their children. This application is expected to be an effective tool in early detection and providing appropriate stimulation for child development," said one representative from SEAMEO CECCEP.

With a spirit of collaboration and innovation, SEAMEO CECCEP continues to strive to improve the quality of early childhood education services in the Southeast Asian region.
