Empowering Education Together: SEAMEO CECCEP and the Education Office of Sawahlunto City Establish Transformative Partnership

SEAMEO CECCEP and the Education Office of Sawahlunto City celebrated a historic moment as they formalized their commitment through the signing of a cooperation agreement document on October 25, 2023. The ceremony took place at the Education Office Building, where Dr. Elis Rosdiawati, representing SEAMEO CECCEP, and Mr. Asril, S.Pd., M.Pd., the Head of the Education Office, officially signed the cooperation document.

The scope of this Cooperation Agreement involved various aspects, including the research and development of Early Childhood Care Education (ECCE) and parenting models, community empowerment in the field of ECE and parenting, and the organization of various activities such as training, seminars, symposiums, workshops, international conferences, and guided discussions. Additionally, the agreement covered the development of joint networks at regional, national, and international levels and other program cooperation according to mutual agreement.

The signing of this document reflected the strong determination to strengthen cooperation in education between the two highly dedicated institutions. As part of the implementation of this cooperation program, training for ECCE teachers was held on October 24-25, 2023, during which SEAMEO CECCEP conducted the "Our Happy Neighbourhoods (OHN)" training and the "Parenting for Stunting Prevention" program.

Dr. Elis Rosdiawati, Deputy Director For Program SEAMEO CECCEP brought a vision and commitment to improve the quality of education in the region, while Pak Asril, S.Pd., M.Pd., enthusiastically welcomed this opportunity as a step forward for the advancement of education in Sawahlunto City.
