SEAMEO CECCEP Hosted the Inter Centre Collaboration Meeting (ICCM): Encouraging Cooperation in Future Programs

Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Center for Early Childhood Care Education and Parenting (SEAMEO CECCEP) was proud to host the Inter Centre Collaboration Meeting (ICCM). The meeting was mainly aimed to discuss collaborative programs that will support SEAMEO's future initiatives. The seven SEAMEO Centers that participated in this meeting included SEAMEO CECCEP, SEAMEO BIOTROP, SEAMEO RECFON, SEAMEO QITEP in Language, SEAMEO QITEP in Mathematics, SEAMEO QITEP in Science, and SEAMEO SEAMOLEC. Each of these centers has its own role in education, research, and development in the Southeast Asian region. The meeting discussed potential cooperation programs among the SEAMEO centers. It was a collaborative effort in competency development, teacher training, research, and learner development. 

In her opening remarks, SEAMEO CECCEP Director, Prof. Vina Adriany, conveyed the importance of cooperation among SEAMEO centers in advancing education and development in Southeast Asia. She emphasized that strong collaboration between these institutions will have a significant positive impact on education in the region.

The board of directors of each center designed a joint strategy to ensure that this cooperation program can be implemented effectively and sustainably in the future. The discussions also focused on enhancing research and development in education, science, technology, and innovation. This includes increased collaboration in relevant research projects.

On this occasion, the Head of the Human Resources Bureau, Ambar Musyarifah, S.Psi, M.Ak, was also present. In her discussion, she talked about human resource development. She explained that later there will be a coordination meeting related to the unit needs of CASN and PPPK civil servant candidates. So it is expected that employees in SEAMEO agencies to prepare as well as possible and not be left behind information.

The meeting also discussed efforts to improve human resource capacity in the region through training, exchanges, and other educational programs. SEAMEO centers also introduced the excellent programs that each center has. The programs are packaged through interactive videos that they have planned to support the advancement of education in the Southeast Asian region. 7 SEAMEO CENTRE INDONESIA is also committed to developing education in eastern Indonesia. The development program for eastern Indonesia will include creating training for teachers or students through the use of digital media. 

This collaborative meeting reflects SEAMEO's spirit of cooperation in promoting positive change in education. By sharing knowledge, experiences, and resources, participants believe that they can create a brighter and higher-quality educational future for future generations in Southeast Asia.
