Prof. Caroline Daley and Dr. Ainslie Moore from the University of Auckland visited SEAMEO CECCEP to Build Collaborative Networks

Prof. Caroline Daley, Dean of Graduate Studies and Dr. Ainslie Moore, Deputy Director  International for the University of Auckland, New Zealand, visited the SEAMEO Regional Center for Early Childhood Care Education and Parenting (CECCEP). The visit was aimed at sharing experiences and strengthening cooperation in early childhood and parenting, as well as sharing best practices to improve the quality of education in Southeast Asian.
Prof. Caroline Daley, an expert in gender and social History arrived in Bandung on 4 August 2023. During her visit, Professor Caroline Daley and Dr. Ainslie Moore met with the staff, BoD, and Director of SEAMEO CECCEP. The meeting took place warmly and spiritedly, marking a step forward in the collaboration between the University of Auckland.
One of the main highlights of the visit was Prof. Caroline Daley's explanation of the various academic programs and scholarships offered by the University of Auckland. She explained how to access scholarships and other programs offered by the University of Auckland.



As a gender and social history expert, her insights were invaluable to the SEAMEO CECCEP staff. This presentation sparked an interesting discussion about New Zealand. She explained that New Zealand is known as a very tolerant country that respects different religions and cultures, making it a comfortable place to live for everyone, including Muslim migrants. The life of the Muslim community in New Zealand is also influenced by various government policies that promote diversity and inclusiveness, as well as the existence of institutions and organizations that facilitate religious and cultural activities.
SEAMEO CECCEP, known for its innovative approach to early childhood education, impressed the delegation from the University of Auckland. Dr. Caroline Daley and Dr. Ainslie Moore were particularly inspired by the center's focus on developing holistic development in early childhood and building strong partnerships with local communities. The exchange of ideas and experiences during the visit has laid a strong foundation for future joint initiatives that can positively impact early childhood education in the Southeast Asia region.
