Bandung 2 February 2023- SEAMEO Regional Center for Early Childhood Care Education and Parenting (CECCEP) is collaborating with the Indonesian Creative Faculty at Telkom University in a program to strengthen information about stunting. In 2022 SEAMEO CECCEP was tagged by the National Development Planning Agency (BAPPENAS) for reducing stunting. SEAMEO CECCEP had worked this PPSP out hand-in-hand with Telkom University in 2022.
The MoU signing ceremony was a form of cooperation in the program that had been carried out previously. This MoU was signed by the director of SEAMEO CECCEP, Prof. Vina Adriany, and Dr. Roro Retno Wulan, S.Sos., M.Pd Dean of the Faculty of Creative Industries at Telkom University. Both parties agreed to collaborate in the research and community service and contribute to webinars, international seminars, and early childhood education development and parenting. Other collaborative programs can also be carried out to improve the quality of early childhood education and parenting. This signing also aims to enhance service development cooperation programs to support teacher training programs.
"In addition to cooperation in strengthening information, we can also work together to prepare Service Management Systems (LMS). SEAMEO CECCEP is a regional institution with a mandate to increase the capacity of ECE teachers and the community as beneficiaries both nationally and regionally. So LMS SEAMEO CECCEP needs to be explored and developed even better, said Vina."
Dr. Roro Retno Wulan also introduced a profile from Telkom University. One of Telkom University's missions is to develop, disseminate and apply technology, science, and art that are recognized internationally. "I hope we can work together well and involve universities from abroad. We can also collaborate to be empowered economically, socially, and culturally," said Woro.
Supporting early childhood education and parenting programs takes good work and cooperation between all parties. Continuing collaboration is needed among ECCE services, parents, the environment, and other stakeholders to increase cooperation between various services leading to a comprehensive service approach to support education and child care.
